ABOUT BRIGHT ORCA

Good Businesses Do Good

Since my early childhood I have always had a deep-seated respect for nature and the environment. Growing up in the wilds of Northern Michigan I had the opportunity to spend my days exploring the woods, fishing, and swimming in the local lakes but I never realized how precious those areas were when I was young.

As I grew up and moved away from my childhood home I realized that these treasures are threatened with unsustainable business practices around the world. There are certainly many businesses that are excellent stewards of the environment (and society at large for that matter) but there are still far too many that have significant room for improvement.

This has lead me to start Bright Orca with the goal of providing a place where entrepreneurs can learn more about the competitive advantage that being sustainable can offer. Our platform will focus on environmental and social issues with the implications of those issues in business being highlighted. By focusing on the important issues facing the world today businesses can improve the world as well as their bottom line.
